Annual Electors Meeting

The annual meeting of the Electors of the Town of Gull Lake will be held on April 16th, 2019, to start at 7:00 p.m. This will be followed by the Regular Town of Gull Lake Board meeting. All residents are welcome!


Town Board Officials Re-elected

All incumbents of the Town of Gull Lake were re-elected at the April 2nd Spring Election. These include: Kathy Berndt – Chairperson; Tom Thorp and Cari Johnson as Supervisors; Bob Morgan as Constable; Lolita Olson as Clerk/Treasurer. These town officials will serve a two year term starting the 3rd Tuesday of April. Congratulations!


CANCELLED – Feb 12th Board Meeting

Due to the snow, the February 12th town board meeting has been postponed and will be rescheduled for Wednesday, February 20th. A revised agenda will be forthcoming. 


Spring Election Coming Up

With no February Primary this year, the next election for 2019 will be held on Tuesday, April 2nd. Candidates on the ballot include State Supreme Court Justice, District 3 Judge, School Board and our local officials. Candidates nominated at the caucus in January for the Town of Gull Lake include Kathy Berndt, Chair; Tom Thorp & Cari Johnson for Supervisors, Bob Morgan for Constable and Lolita Olson for Clerk/Treasurer. There are not any other scheduled elections this year.

Contact your municipal clerk at 715-558-2787 (call or text) or 715-466-4665 (home) if you wish to vote absentee in the upcoming election. 


General Election is November 6th

The November 6th Election is coming soon! The slate of candidates includes candidates for the following offices:

Governor/Lieutenant Governor, Attorney General, Secretary of State, State Treasurer, US Senator, District 7 Rep in Congress, District 25 State Senator, District 73 Rep to the Assembly, Sheriff, Coronor and Clerk of Circuit Court. There will also be an advisory referendum question on the Dark Stores loopholes. 

 


New District 3 County Board Representative

Mark Radzak of Minong is the new District 3 County Board Supervisor, filling in for the remainder of the term after Steve Waggoner’s untimely death. While we mourn the loss of Steve’s leadership, we look forward to Mark’s enthusiasm and willingness to serve the residents of District 3. This district includes Frog Creek, Gull Lake, Brooklyn and a major portion of Chicog. 


District 3 Supervisor

All County Board members were up for election at the recently held Spring Election April 3rd. Steve Waggoner is the District 3 Representative and serves a large area of northwest Washburn County, including Gull Lake Township. These terms run two years. Dog Licensing

Dog Licenses are required for dogs kept in the Town of Gull Lake. Tags are issued for each calendar year and expire on December 31st. Spayed/neutered pets dogs are $5.00; otherwise, the cost is $10.00. Kennel licenses are $50.00 for up to 12 dogs; each dog thereafter is $5.00. A current rabies vaccination is required. There is a late fee of $5.00 if your dog is licensed after April 1st (unless this is a new dog, of course!) Contact your treasurer for information – 715-466-4665. 


Open Book & Board of Review

Open Book has been scheduled for Saturday, May 12th from 1:15 pm to 3:15. Board of Review will be held June 2nd from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Both of these will be held at the Gull Lake Town Hall.
