Welcome to the Town of Gull Lake

The Town of Gull Lake, Washburn County, Wisconsin, was created by ordinance of the Washburn County Board of Supervisors in April of 1904. The town was created out of a portion of the Town of Veazie and held its first annual town meeting on the first Tuesday of April, 1904. The dominant land use within the town is woodlands; approximately 2/3 of the town is classified as County Forest land and is used for recreational purposes as well as managed for timber production and wildlife. Agricultural use is the second main land use. It is estimated that the town currently has 200 full time residents with many permanent and seasonal residences lining the perimeter of Gull Lake, the largest surface water body in the town. The town is subject to county zoning.
